the piano

moved into a new house that is not yet quite home
objects strewn about
boxes upon boxes they litter the rooms
but inspiration of renovations are progressing slowly
clothing is heaped in rooms with a future of something better
it's tiring living out of boxes
the piano sits coldly in the garage among boxes and furniture
out of tune but still carrying on
waiting for the moment of moving to the clothing heaped room
where soon there will be no boxes
or clothing or uncertainty
just warmth of a light and the caress of fingertips
